Potato Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup butter 
6 eggs
2 cups brown sugar 
1 cup mashed potatoes
2 cups flour 
1 cup Ghiradelli chocolate
2 tsp. baking powder 
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger 
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. vanilla 
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, beat well. Beat in mashed potatoes. Beat in dry ingredients alternately with milk and beat at low speed until well blended. Fold in nuts and pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 40 to 50 min. at 350', until pick inserted comes out clean. 

Frosting: Melt together - 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup each, Ghiredelli chocolate and brown sugar, 1/4 cup condensed milk.

Beat in 2 tsp. vanilla and enough powdered sugar for spreading consistency. Frost cooled cake.
