Banana Pudding

1 cup sugar 
3 eggs, beaten 
1 dash salt 
2 tablespoons cornstarch 
2 cups milk 
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon butter 
3-4 ripe bananas, sliced 
1 small box of Nilla vanilla wafers 

Mix sugar and eggs together. 
Add salt, cornstarch, and milk. 
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly; cook over medium heat until thickened. 
Remove from heat; add vanilla and butter and mix well. 
In serving bowl, alternate wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding.
