The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg
Place your eggs in a pot of cold water, enough to completely cover eggs. Add a couple of teaspoons of vinegar. Place pot on cold burner and turn it to high. When eggs begin to rapidly boil, cover and remove from heat. Let stand, undisturbed, for 15 minutes. Drain pot and recover eggs with cold water. Let set for 5 minutes, drain water off and shake pot to crack shells. Cover once again with cold water and let set for 5 more minutes. If you are going to color eggs for Easter, do not shake pot to crack shells, just drain and re-cover with cold water.
