Gingersnaps
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup oil
1/4 cup dark molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. salt
In mixing bowl, combine sugar, oil, molasses and egg. Beat well. Stir in dry ingredients until well blended. Form by hand into 1 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375* for 10 - 12 minutes.
Remove to rack and cool.
