Cheesecake New York
Ingredients:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons melted butter
1 1/2 cups sour cream
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 pound (16 oz) cream cheese
Blend the cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup melted butter. Press into the bottom of an 8 inch
spring form pan. In a blender, blend sour cream, eggs, flavorings and 1/2 cup sugar until well incorporated. Add cream cheese in chunks, through the top of the blender and blend until smooth. Pour in 2 tablespoons of melted butter and continue blending until well mixed. Pour into pan and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. When baking is finished, remove from oven and turn oven to broil. Return cheesecake to oven and broil until top begins to show attractive spots of brown.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
